Fargo the Dog needs a home

Fargo is an AMAZING, sweet, easy to care for dog whose personality makes him a great fit for someone looking for a laid back soul who just wants to be near you. Fargo had a rough start - he was found in the basement of an abandoned property, undernourished, but still sweet and trusting. Fargo is in foster care, putting on weight and gaining confidence every day.


His foster dad can't say enough good things about him, including that he is ‘at home’ outside sniffing things and chasing squirrels/birds/blowing leaves in the park. Fargo is also house trained! His foster dad says, "he’s definitely very friendly with people and dogs in a mellow way (happy to get pets, happy to sniff), though he’s not sprinting around looking to play compared to other dogs. He’ll walk up to you and lick your face to say hello, though is not at the moment running to chase balls around." (Fargo is currently being treated for a cold, so he may 


Fargo has put on weight since being in foster care - from 33 pounds to 45 pounds! - and he's a great jogging buddy. Fargo would be a great fit for older children who he can't accidentally knock over, and he hasn't told us what he thinks of cats just yet. This sweet gentleman would love to meet you!

Adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and microchipping. No animals may be adopted without being spayed or neutered. Adoption fees are as follows, plus tax: $150 for large adult dogs (older than 1 year); $250 for small dogs (under 25 lbs) and all puppies (under 1 year); $60 for adult cats (over 6 months of age), and $100 for kittens (under 6 months of age). When you adopt a pair of kittens together, the total adoption fee is $150.
